WORK SCHEDULE : Full-time (40h/week), day, evening, weekend

EMPLOYMENT STATUS : Permanent

WORK LOCATION : Montréal Office

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Physically install audiovisual equipment and accessories at client sites.
  • Participate in system engineering.
  • Commission equipment, perform tests, and validations according to standards.
  • Stay up to date on new products and technological developments in the audiovisual field.
  • Represent XYZ Technologies to clients and suppliers.
  • Provide technical assistance to colleagues as needed (installation technicians, representatives, and project managers) regarding the operation of our products.
  • Work closely with project managers for project preparation and development.
  • Ensure that work trucks and the warehouse are clean and well-organized.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety rules and requirements applicable to projects.

REQUIREMENTS AND DESIRED SKILLS :

  • Hold a DEC (Diploma of College Studies) or DEP (Diploma of Vocational Studies) in audiovisual/electronics or equivalent.
  • Have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in integration/installation of audiovisual equipment.
  • Knowledge of the basic principles of video conferencing systems and control systems such as Crestron, AMX, and Medialon.
  • Basic knowledge of audio control systems.
  • Basic knowledge of video distribution principles (Coolux, Watchout, IPTV).
  • Knowledge of video: video signals, connectivity, protocols, projection.
  • Knowledge of electronics (DC, AC circuits, semiconductor, logic, microprocessor).
  • Knowledge of networking (router and switch types, basic IP and MAC concepts, ping tool).
  • Knowledge of wiring termination methods related to the field.
  • Knowledge of interconnectivity control principles for lighting.
  • Knowledge of sound systems: basic acoustic principles, gain structure 101, basic mixing techniques.
  • Knowledge of carpentry: chemical and mechanical anchoring, cable routing, installation of hanging brackets, etc.
  • Computer skills: MAC and Windows OS configuration, device principles, driver updates, troubleshooting methods.
  • Ability to read elevation, conduit, single-line, and layout plans.
  • Ability to assemble equipment racks: thermal management, wiring, electrical.
  • Knowledge of MS Office suite software.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
  • Hold a valid passport and be able to travel worldwide.
  • Be in excellent physical condition.
  • Proficiency in both official languages (oral and written).
  • ASP construction safety card (an asset).
  • CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) certification (an asset).
