PROJECT ENGINEER – LIGHTING

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an experienced Project Engineer-Lighting and lighting controls to oversee the installation, coordination, and delivery of lighting systems on-site. The role involves managing site activities, coordinating with multiple stakeholders, ensuring quality execution, and supporting commissioning and handover of lighting and lighting control systems.

WORK LOCATION : Dubai & Riyadh Offices

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

Manage day-to-day site activities related to lighting installation and integration
Supervise installation of lighting fixtures, control systems, panels, and associated infrastructure
Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely execution
Review and interpret lighting drawings, shop drawings, and technical submittals
Ensure installations are carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, and standards
Monitor site progress and update project schedules in coordination with project management team
Conduct site inspections to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with project requirements
Identify and resolve technical and installation issues on-site
Coordinate with lighting designers and consultants to maintain design intent
Oversee cable routing, addressing, termination, and panel connections
Support programming and commissioning teams during system integration
Ensure proper handling, storage, and installation of lighting equipment
Manage and track materials, deliveries, and site inventory
Coordinate mock-ups and assist in client/consultant demonstrations
Prepare site reports, progress reports, and issue logs
Ensure compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) standards
Attend site meetings and provide technical inputs when required
Coordinate snagging, de-snagging, and final inspections
Support project close-out, documentation, and handover process

REQUIREMENTS AND DESIRED SKILLS :

Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Proven experience in on-site execution of lighting projects
Strong knowledge of lighting systems, installation practices, and control systems
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Experience in coordinating with multiple stakeholders on large-scale projects
Strong leadership and team management skills
Good communication and reporting skills

PREFERRED SKILLS :

Experience in museums, theme parks, facades, or architectural lighting projects
Familiarity with lighting control systems (DMX, DALI, KNX, etc.)
Basic understanding of commissioning and programming processes
Knowledge of international standards and local authority requirements
