Saint-Jerome, Canada, 2017
After two years of labor, the Gilles-Vigneault Theatre, named to honor the famous Quebec poet, opened in Saint-Jerome the Laurentian regional capital, in November 2017. The construction of the theatre, on de la Gare Street, has required an investment of nearly $ 25 million by both levels of government and of the municipality. The largest theatre in the area, the Gilles-Vigneault theatre offers a rich and diversified program to residents of the whole North Shore of Montreal. A magnificent 860-seat venue, it has won an architectural excellence award from Canadian Architect Magazine. The XYZ Technology Cultural team has provided and installed a complete audiovisual system.
The Gilles-Vigneault theatre has 860 seats spread over three levels: a 510-seat floor, a 190-seat mezzanine and a 160-seat balcony. XYZ experts have installed two-line array sound system in the main room, monitors, a sound console and a surround sound system in the foyer. The two spaces are connected through a Dante network. XYZ has equipped the room with a show lighting system consisting of 98 spotlights, 36 Fresnel spotlights, two tracking spotlights and a lighting control desk. The theatre was also equipped with a video projector, a screen and a surveillance camera, as well as a centralized video signage system with a dozen screens in the entrance hall.
